The importance here is to understand why some steps are available or disabled for changes. It is easy to do in Jira but the user needs to ensure that all modifications were reflected in aqua. This is why it is important to activate the workflow in aqua and design it equally to Jira’s workflow. The next picture shows both aqua and Jira workflows.
They should be identical before starting the synchronization.
We have already done this for our aqua project “JIRA-Sync”, so this should work. Again, before we make any modifications, please make sure that your synchronization configuration is activated. Let us carry out a test. Let us take our defect “From aqua to Jira” and rename it “Testing resolution”. This should be synchronized in Jira. But before saving and closing, let us set the resolution to “fixed” while leaving our status as “open”. This modification will not be possible because the resolution cannot be set otherwise it will be unavailable while the defects’ status is “open”. So let us change our defects’ status from “open” to “resolved” and set the resolution to “Fixed”. This change should be recognized in Jira since the development pattern is the same as the workflow pattern.
